Hand drawn maps and notes
What if we examined even the mundane moments of our lives more critically? If “every second counts” why don’t we treat all moments that way?
My project now is about doing just that. I’ve been documenting a place over a period of time through my hand drawn maps and notes. A coffee shop provides the perfect type of environment because it is a common gathering place for many types of people, a place where you can spend five minutes or two hours and both are welcomed.
Going forward I will be interpreting the data I have gathered into more cohesive maps displaying the lapse of time. The core of my project is the maps themselves, since they are a raw snapshot of a place and time, so I will l be continuing to journal them in the future.
