(about two weeks before the show)
i spent some time looking at the work of corita kent and also the philosophies of simone weil. both were so uplifting and inspiring. after taking another look at the three illustrations i made, i realized they were not very uplifting. i like them, but made them in kind of a pessimistic/realist mindset. i'd rather show some spirit.
i've been moved by so many words recently. so i decided to write my own and look through my sketchbook/phone notes to find words as well.
